VK metalcore band DAMNED have teamed up with guitarist and composer Cazqui (Cazqui’s Brutal Orchestra, ex-Nocturnal Bloodlust) for ‘ShoKu’ (‘Eclipse’). The video released on September 15th, and a single release is to be announced. Also, on September 13th, the band dropped their latest single ‘DAEDRA’.
‘ShoKu’, with music written by Cazqui and DAMNED guitarist Kou., is a naturally guitar heavy song laced with Cazqui’s signature style. A huge breakdown followed by a lo-fi acoustic segment by Suica and guitar solo from Cazqui change up the tone. The track also received a music video, with a full single release pending.
On X (formerly Twitter), Kou. revealed some behind the scenes information about the song, stating that there’s a guitar phrase reminiscent of a “certain divine song”. He noted that while working on the solo alongside Cazqui, he asked with a mischievous smile, “This part’s in the Em key, right? Please play that phrase for me!”. Fans were quick to figure out the song in question is Nocturnal Bloodlust’s ‘Desperate’.

Additionally, DAMNED released their latest single ‘DAEDRA’ on September 13th across streaming platforms. The single features 3 tracks- ‘Oblivion’, ‘DAEDRA’, and ‘Poada’, the latter of which is a re-recording from the band’s past as VELTRO. Alongside this, the band revealed their new looks.

This all comes ahead of the band’s 3rd anniversary, their GARGANTUA tour final on September 22nd, where Cazqui will be performing as a guest guitarist, and their European tour, JUKAI, starting this November.
