Japanese trio Omoinotake have released their latest single ‘Innocent Blue’, now available on all streaming platforms. The track made its first appearance earlier this month during the opening night of the band’s ONE MAN TOUR 2012–2025 ‘Shinka’ in their home prefecture of Shimane.
Built around a bright Motown-inspired rhythm, ‘Innocent Blue’ pairs lively brass arrangements with lyrics about the simplicity of expressing emotions openly with someone close. The song has also been tied to Bourbon’s Alfort Mini Chocolate commercial campaign, further pushing the group’s sound into the national spotlight.
Alongside today’s release, Omoinotake confirmed the arrival of a new single, ‘Gravity’, on October 29th. Koichi Tsutaya produced the track, which serves as the theme for the upcoming Japan–Thailand film (LOVE SONG), directed by Champ Weerachit Thongjila of 2gether fame. Starring Win Morisaki and Koji Mukai of Snow Man, the film follows a cross-border romance tied to an unfinished piece of music and will premiere in Japan on October 31st 2025.
The digital single ‘Gravity / Innocent Blue’ will feature both songs alongside instrumental versions.
Looking ahead, Omoinotake will play their first international shows later this year, stopping in Taipei (November 27th at Zepp New Taipei) and Bangkok (December 10th at Lido Connect). They will also headline Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan on March 15th 2026.
