DIR EN GREY have announced that their second major album ‘MACABRE’ will be getting the vinyl treatment to mark the album’s 25th anniversary. Pre-orders are open now, with the album set to release on December 24th.
‘MACABRE’ first dropped on September 20th 2000, and is the band’s second full length release. The album featured 3 singles; ‘Myaku’, ‘【KR】cube’, and ‘Taiyou no Ao’, each giving an insight into DIR EN GREY‘s coming evolutions with drastically different sounds. Several songs from the album have also received re-imaginings, including ‘Hydra’ becoming fan favourite ‘Hydra – 666-‘ in 2007.
As more fans move away from streaming platforms, and back to physical media, and vinyl seeing a recent renaissance, ‘MACABRE’ is a must have for collectors. The 180g 2-disc LP is releasing only in limited numbers, so don’t miss your chance to grab it!
Pre-orders are available now via Galaxy Broad Shop, with bonus sticker, and at CDJapan.
