AiNA THE END has been confirmed as the artist behind the 29th opening theme for ONE PIECE, providing a new song titled ‘Luminous’ for the upcoming Elbaph Arc.
News of the opening theme was revealed on March 28th at the ONE PIECE stage event during AnimeJapan 2026, alongside the announcement of the new ending theme, ‘Sono Mirai’ by rock band Jisoku 36km. The Elbaph storyline begins on April 5th, 2026.
‘Luminous’ was written by AiNA THE END specifically for the Elbaph Arc and, as with her previous track ‘On The Way’, is co-composed with Shin Sakiura. The track was first performed live at a free show titled Utage ja! ~Shukkō Mae no Dai Enkai~, held at Yokohama’s Nippon Maru Memorial Park on the same day as the announcement.
In keeping with the show’s nautical spirit, the performance took place in front of the 1930 training vessel turned museum Nippon Maru. The set opened with AiNA performing her 2025 single and DAN DA DAN opening ‘On The Way’, before debuting ‘Luminous’ later in the show. The performance of the new track was broadcast live to the AnimeJapan 2026 audience at Tokyo Big Sight, with a portion later uploaded to AiNA THE END’s official YouTube channel ahead of the track’s full digital release on April 3rd.
Artwork for the single, created by Shinya Hanabusa (TI_ALT), was photographed during AiNA’s recent visit to Iceland for Nippon TV’s Google Pixel presents ANOTHER SKY. During the programme, she travelled to locations connected to artists such as Björk and Sigur Rós, while reflecting on her life following BiSH’s disbandment.

The Elbaph Arc will stream internationally via Crunchyroll starting April 5th. Catch a snippet of the studio version of ‘Luminous’ in the latest promotional video.
