TAMIW blur dance and shoegaze on new ID collaboration ‘Fascinvoice’

Osaka leftfield quartet TAMIW have teamed up with Japanese rapper ID on new single ‘Fascinvoice’, out May 13th via Niwer Records. The track lands on the same day the band kick off their first ever UK tour at The Water Rats in London.

‘Fascinvoice’ fuses dance music with shoegaze, with TAMIW’s signature darkness and pop instincts running underneath ID’s verses. A rapper with multinational roots signed to British label AWAL, ID brings a contrast that pulls the song into territory neither act had set out to find. A third generation ‘Monster’ (resident rappers who took on challengers) on TV Asahi’s freestyle competition Freestyle Dungeon, he made his name in MC battles before pivoting to longer-form work on 2022 debut album ‘B1’.

Vocalist TamiKeem explained the origin of the title in a statement:

“The title ‘Fascinvoice’ is a portmanteau of ‘Fascinate’ and ‘Voice’. When I first heard the voice of rapper ID, with whom I’ve finally had the opportunity to collaborate, I was struck by how captivating it was. At that moment, I decided that if we ever made a song together, this would be the title. This is a rare song where the title came before the music or lyrics. I really hope you’ll listen to it a lot.”

The single arrives a year on from TAMIW’s fourth album ‘Farewell Party’, which came out in May 2025 and was the first full-length to feature bassist Taichi Yoshimura after his official addition to the lineup in November 2024. TAMIW self-produce every release at Hidden Place, their studio housed on the grounds of Senjyu-in, a temple in Sakai that operates as an animal cemetery. Drummer, producer and mix engineer BON-SAN conducts animal funerals there as a monk alongside his musical work.

The accompanying UK tour is the band’s first run of shows in the country and includes two dates at The Great Escape in Brighton, where they appear as part of the INSPIRED BY TOKYO showcase.
