Spotify and Billboard Japan have announced Women In Music – EQUAL STAGE, a one-night concert spotlighting rising women artists in Japan, featuring ATARASHII GAKKO!, Awich, Hitsujibungaku, and LANA.
The show takes place on June 9th at Tokyo’s SGC Hall Ariake as part of MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN WEEK, with a lineup spanning dance-pop, hip-hop and alternative rock. TV Asahi announcer Chie Honma serves as MC.

EQUAL STAGE brings together two existing initiatives focused on gender equity in music. Billboard Japan’s Women In Music project, launched in 2022, celebrates artists, producers and executives working towards a more inclusive industry. Spotify’s EQUAL program, launched in 2021, uses curated playlists and monthly Ambassadors to amplify women’s voices globally.

Early lottery presales for Women In Music – EQUAL STAGE are running through e+, Ticket Pia and Lawson Ticket, with general sale opening on May 23rd.
