Visual kei band GA TO CHOU have just dropped their first music video featuring new vocalist Nao and bassist Lanju. ‘narakunohane’ will be released on June 24th as the band’s 4th single, both digitally and physically.
GA TO CHOU’s original vocalist Souma (ex-Ashmaze.) and bassist Hiyori Isshiki (ex-Kiryu) departed the band in May of this year, less than 2 years after their formation. Replacing them are vocalist Nao (ex-Hueye) and bassist Lanju (ex-gulu gulu). The band is rounded out by guitarists Zero (ex-Lycaon) and Kaede (R-Shitei), and drummer Hirotaka (R-shitei).
‘narakunohane’ (‘Wings of the Abyss’) is a powerful, haunting, and bold step into the band’s next era; re-introducing them to existing fans, and allowing new fans to see what they’re made of. Nao’s vocals soar above the music, lyrics showcasing a dark worldview circling Buddhist themes of life, death, and reincarnation.
The “chou” (butterfly) version of the CD single features two additional songs; ’12G’, and ‘Hakuchumu’ (‘Daydream’), while the “ga” (moth) version includes ‘narakunohane’, ’12G’, and a DVD of the music video.
The band also revealed new looks with the music video.

Along with the single, GA TO CHOU have announced a 3-date oneman Japan tour for July. Starting on July 2nd in Osaka, the band will then head to Nagoya on July 3rd, and wrap up the tour in Tokyo on July 10th. Tickets are available now via eplus (Japan only).
