DIR EN GREY revive Rettou Gekishin Angya for 30th anniversary Japan tour

DIR EN GREY will mark their forthcoming 30th anniversary with a 12-show tour of Japan, visiting nine cities between November 12th and December 15th 2026.

The full tour title, DIR EN GREY 30th Anniversary 列島激震行脚2026 Nothing XXX Ugly, revives the 列島激震行脚 (Rettou Gekishin Angya) name used by the band for a tour held across 2002 and 2003. DIR EN GREY announced the new tour following their ‘MORTAL DOWNER’ concert at Tokyo Garden Theater on July 19th. Nothing XXX Ugly appears to reference the band’s 2002 mini-album ‘six Ugly’ and the earlier tour finale 列島激震行脚 FINAL 2003 5 Ugly KINGDOM, although DIR EN GREY have not yet explained the phrase’s intended meaning.

The tour begins with two membership-only performances at CLUB CITTA’. The opening night is restricted to members of the official fan club ｢a knot｣, while the second is limited to ｢a knot｣ and DIR EN GREY ONLINE members. The remaining ten concerts are not membership-exclusive and will be available through the wider ticket-sale schedule.

Formed in Osaka in 1997, DIR EN GREY are vocalist Kyo, guitarists Kaoru and Die, bassist Toshiya, and drummer Shinya. Although the band emerged from the visual kei scene, their music has since evolved across alternative, progressive, avant-garde and extreme metal. DIR EN GREY released their 12th studio album, ‘MORTAL DOWNER’, through FIREWALL DIV. on April 8th 2026.
