SCANDAL unveil tracklist and artwork for upcoming album ‘LUMINOUS’

SCANDAL have dropped details about their long-awaited 11th album, ‘LUMINOUS’, set to release on March 20th.

‘LUMINOUS’, their first album in 2 years, will feature 11 tracks, showcasing a diverse collection of songs, including 2023 singles ‘Line of sight’ and ‘Highlight no Naka de Bokura Zutto’. It will also include notable collaborations with rock unit Rhythmic Toy World on ‘Anata e’, and Shibuya five-piece EOW on ‘Plum’. All members of SCANDAL chipped in on lyrics and composition, promising a varied sound across the album.

The album’s jacket photo, adorned with jellyfish in various forms, symbolizes both flexibility and strength, embodying SCANDAL’s ethos.

Additionally, the tracklist includes the new song ‘Fanfare’, chosen as the ending theme for the TV anime ‘HIGHSPEED Étoile’, scheduled to air in April. The song, tailored specifically for the anime, blends the band’s powerful sound with the strong, independent nature of the anime characters.

The release will be available in various editions, including a regular CD version, first limited editions with Blu-ray and a magazine, and a complete production limited edition in a premium box format, featuring a Blu-ray, a LUMINOUS long-sleeve T-shirt, and a set of four photos.

SCANDAL’s ‘LUMINOUS’ Japan tour, starting April 2nd in Hiroshima and spanning multiple cities, has also been announced.

In August 2023, during their 17th-anniversary event at Namba Hatch in Osaka, SCANDAL were certified by Guinness World Records as the “Longest running female rock band with the same musicians”.
