ENVY MAKE THEIR COMEBACK WITH ‘BLUE MOONLIGHT’ FROM UPCOMING ALBUM ‘ATHEIST’S CORNEA’

envy have been dominating Japan’s independent hardcore scene since their formation in 1992, and after a five year gap between their last album ‘Recitation’, the band have announced they will be releasing their all new album ‘Atheist’s cornea’ on May 15th, with CD and vinyl versions getting their international release later in 2015.
Loud, fast, aggressive, yet delicate and somewhat tranquil, envy’s sound has inspired a generation of young and experienced artists alike, from Mogwai to San Francisco black metallers deafheaven. The album’s first single ‘Blue Moonlight’, which premiered on Monday, shows envy are still in top form, delivering what we’ve come to expect from Japan’s loudest band, harsh and atmospheric music that appeases the soul and tears it apart all in the space of one track.

At 43 minutes, Atheist’s cornea is envy’s shortest album since their trash days in the early 90s, but New York based label Temporary Residence has assured us that “Atheist’s cornea is the purest, most distilled example of envy’s brand of brilliance”.
Pre-orders for CD and vinyl releases are now available from TemporaryResidence.com which come with an MP3 version of the album that’ll be sent out to all pre-order customers on May 15th.
