Next month, instrumental math rock four-piece LITE will take to Europe for the last dates of their ‘APPROACHES 4’ tour, with shows in London and Paris as well as an appearance at Bristol’s ArcTanGent Festival.
Becoming a staple on the UK gig circuit since their first appearance back in 2006, LITE have been hailed as the most stand out instrumental band to come out of Japan in the last decade, with Japan Times calling them “one of the best postrock offerings around”. With the success of their last album ‘Installation’, their first album to be released by London label Blood and Biscuits, LITE will perform at The Dome in Tufnell Park on Wednesday August 19th, followed by a headline slot at ArcTanGent, the UK’s only math-rock, post-rock and noise rock festival, alongside England’s own 65daysofstatic on the 20th. The band will also be joined by VJ Kezzardrix who performed alongside them during the Japan leg of the tour.
In May LITE dropped six free live tracks recorded during a live-streaming session at Red Bull Studios in Tokyo via their website. Still not sold? Then listen to these happy consumers from their US tour back in March.
