kudaranai1nichi partners with WACK for first nationwide album release

WACK have announced their partnership with Tokyo emo-indie rock trio, kudaranai1nichi (くだらない1日). The agency, known for managing artists like AiNA THE END, ASP, and BiS, will release the band’s upcoming 3rd album, ‘Doitsumo Koitsumo’, on March 6th, marking kudaranai1nichi’s first release to be distributed nationwide.

The album will feature more of kudaranai1nichi’s signature blend of midwest emo and indie rock, comprising nine tracks, including previously released singles ‘TANGTANG’ and ‘trust none’, alongside fresh additions such as ‘heel’ and ‘Totemo Daiji’.

Commenting on the album, lead vocalist and guitarist Diceke Takane expressed;

“I created this album with the intention of reconciling and accepting sad memories and difficult days in order to become happy. I would be delighted if people with complex feelings listen to it and find happiness.”

Following the announcement, WACK founder Junnosuke Watanabe expressed his enthusiasm on Twitter, stating;

“Fxxking welcome to WACK!!”

Formed in 2016 in Fukuoka and now based in Tokyo, kudaranai1nichi consists of Takane (Vo/Gt), Taiyo (Gt), and Kawai (Ba). With five singles and two albums under their belts, they have re-energised the Japanese emo scene with their nostalgic yet forward-thinking sound. Their upcoming album, ‘Doitsumo Koitsumo’, signals a new chapter, showcasing their evolution and dedication to the genre’s future.

Additionally, on March 12th, kudaranai1nichi is set to take the stage at SXSW Festival 2024 in Austin, Texas.
