THE ORAL CIGARETTES premier ‘DUNK’ feat. coldrain’s Masato

THE ORAL CIGARETTES have premiered their latest single, ‘DUNK’, featuring coldrain vocalist Masato. The single officially released today, August 7th.

‘DUNK’ takes a slightly heavier direction than usual for THE ORAL CIGARETTES. Opening with finger tapped guitar lines, a heavy drum beat, the track then drops into an almost nu-metal-like verse with distorted vocals and rapping. The chorus features Masato yelling the words “I wanna make it real”, a guaranteed chant-along moment. Fans have noted the track is a perfect balance of both THE ORAL CIGARETTES and coldrain.

The video production for ‘DUNK’ was handled by Tokyo based visual studio BUDDHA INC. made up of Mineto Kanzaki and Yutaro Yamada. They’ve previously worked with acts such as coldrain, Miura Ayme, and Miku Hatsune, as well as companies like Netflix and Family Mart.

Additionally, to promote the single the band have created a feature on their website with a high quality concept visual gallery, SNS campaign (Japan only), promotional teaser video, and song lyrics. The SNS campaign allows fans living in Japan to apply to win a ‘DUNK’ concept visual poster or a sticker.
