In a monumental event marking the end of their nearly decade-long career, BAD HOP, the acclaimed Kawasaki City hip-hop crew, disbanded after their sold-out final performance at Tokyo Dome on February 19th.

Comprising twin brothers T-Pablow and YZERR, along with childhood friends Tiji Jojo, Benjazzy, Yellow Pato, G-k.i.d, Vingo, and Bark, BAD HOP emerged in 2014 with their blend of trap and Chicago drill, portraying life in Kawasaki Southside.

Their journey to Tokyo Dome was paved with remarkable achievements, including a solo performance at Nippon Budokan in 2018, making them the youngest hip-hop artists in Japanese history to achieve such a feat. Despite setbacks like the cancellation of their Yokohama Arena performance in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving them in significant debt, BAD HOP persevered, solidifying their position as leaders in the Japanese hip-hop scene.

In May 2023, the group announced their dissolution at the hip-hop festival ‘POP YOURS’.

Drawing approximately 50,000 fans to the Dome, the performance featured earth-shaking collaborations, powerful solo tracks, and heartfelt moments.

Performing a massive 43-track set-list, anthems like ‘Kawasaki Drift’, ‘I Feel Like Goku’, and ‘High Land’ ignited the venue, with guest appearances from industry icons like Awich, JP THE WAVY, Hideyoshi, Jin Dogg, and others adding to the spectacle, culminating in an emotional farewell that resonated with fans and artists alike.

As they bid farewell, YZERR expressed gratitude, reflecting on their humble beginnings and the journey that led them to Tokyo Dome. His poignant words echoed throughout the dome, serving as a reminder of BAD HOP’s enduring legacy and the impact they’ve had on the Japanese hip-hop landscape.

BAD HOP THE FINAL at TOKYO DOME

The deluxe version of their self-titled final album, released on February 9th, features 22 tracks, including notable solo tracks and YZERR’s diss track ‘guidance’, aimed at rival crews Japanese Magenese and Namedaruma, which has amassed over 6.7 million views on YouTube.

Additionally, since the album’s release, BAD HOP have been dropping daily music videos on their official YouTube channel, totaling 12 releases to date.
