pinponpanpon clean up with hyperpop banger ‘BATH BOMB’

Hyperpop unit pinponpanpon have unleashed their latest single ‘BATH BOMB’. The track was officially released across streaming platforms on June 29th, with the video premiering on July 4th.

‘BATH BOMB’ is a pure hyperpop track, featuring a pounding beat, electronic distortion, and as the genre infers, hyper vocals. The song is produced by French Cries, who handles all of the group’s music production.

pinponpanpon are a somewhat mysterious group, with little information on members, formation, or even who exactly producer French Cries is. Declaring themselves as “Japan’s #1 idol group”, they’ve quietly infiltrated the pop and hyperpop scene with a steady stream of catchy releases. Those interested in the Japanese street fashion scene may, however, recognise member Domenatsu. A fashionista in her own right, she also works as a stylist, most recently styling rapper NENE (Yurufuwa Gang) for her latest video YUMMY.

pinponpanpon are a female hyperpop group, formed in October 2023. The original lineup was Domenatsu, Himedebab, and Mikcham. ‘PinPonDash’ served as their first single, released on December 12th 2023. Since then, they have released 6 more singles and a 5 track EP. Katherine joined in April this year, after the group held auditions to find a new member.
