RAISAN deliver nostalgic summer pop rock vibes with ‘Aimaina BEACH’

Funky pop rock supergroup RAISAN (礼賛) have released their latest single ‘Aimaina BEACH’ (‘Ambiguous BEACH’). The single, marking the band’s first release since their February EP ‘PEAK TIME’, dropped on streaming platforms on July 31st, followed by the video on August 2nd.

On the face of it, ‘Aimaina BEACH’ is a summery, beachy, pop rock track. Kyujitsu Kacho’s (known as Kasugayama while in RAISAN) funky bass gives the track an irresistible groove, while the horn accompaniments add an almost tropical flair. Vocalist Saya (known as CLR) has crystal clear vocals, occasionally dipping into light rapping, that lift the track further into summer-jam territory. Lyrically however, the song is about a faint summer love, and suggests the difficulty of reading other’s romantic intentions and emotions. The lyrics were written by CLR, with the music being written by her and the band.

The video gives the perfect beach house party vibes, with bikini clad girls and the band partying around them. On closer inspection though, we see the girls looking fed up, seemingly done with partying and summer romances. Both the video and the song itself have a slightly vintage vibe to them, creating a nostalgic feeling.
