Fake Creators, the collaborative brainchild of math rock unit LITE and DJ/producer DE DE MOUSE, have dropped their new single ‘Star Racer’.
Departing from their previous dream-pop collaborations with Taiwanese singer-songwriter Misi Ke, ‘Star Racer‘ is a high-octane rave-style anthem that takes inspiration from vintage PlayStation racing games, combining Dutch trance-like sequences, punkish roaring guitars, a pulsating bassline, R&B-infused vocal cuts, and an Italo house-style piano.
The single’s visuals, including its 90s video game and rave aesthetic artwork and music video, was crafted by accomplished artist, DJ, VJ, and Fake Creators’ own art director, JACKSON kaki.
In celebration of the single’s release, Fake Creators has partnered with music NFT platform Sound.xyz to mint an exclusive ‘Star Racer’ NFT. This limited digital collectible commemorates ‘MUSIC NFT DAY 2023’, an event scheduled for November 5th at Tokyo’s Shibuya Stream Hall that aims to expand and develop the music community in the Web 3.0 era.
