Galileo Galilei announce dual album release ‘MANSTER’ and ‘MANTRAL’

Porter Robinson’s favourite Hokkaido rock band, Galileo Galilei, have announced the simultaneous release of two new albums, ‘MANSTER’ and ‘MANTRAL’, on September 25th. The albums follow the release of ‘Bee and The Whales’ in May 2023, which marked their comeback after a six-year hiatus, and their first album in seven years.

The band’s frontman, Yuuki Ozaki, has been hinting at this dual release since last year, and he has now officially confirmed it. Although the band is still keeping detailed information about the albums under wraps, they have shared new visuals alongside the announcement.

In conjunction with the album releases, Galileo Galilei will hit Zepp venues around Japan for their ‘Tour M’ nationwide tour. The tour takes its name from the initials of the two albums. The tour kicks off on September 27th at Zepp Sapporo and includes stops in Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo.

About Galileo Galilei

Formed in 2007 in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, Galileo Galilei centers around brothers Yuuki Ozaki (Vo/Gt) and Kazuki Ozaki (Dr). In 2023, Galileo Galilei teamed up for a live session with world-famous North Carolina producer Porter Robinson, who has named the band as a significant influence on his sound. Reflecting on the live session, frontman Yuuki Ozaki said the experience it deeply influenced their 2023 album ‘Bee and the Whales’, their first full album in seven years.

March 2024 saw the band organizing the ‘Tsunagari Daisuki Club’ event in three cities, its first occurrence in nine years. The event included performances with BBHF, the side project of the band’s founding brothers.
