MIYAVI has just dropped his latest digital single ‘EAT EAT EAT’, along with a sensual visualiser. The track is taken from his first album in 3 years ‘Lost in Love’.
‘EAT EAT EAT’ sees MIYAVI continue heading in a more pop oriented direction, with clear K-pop inspirations. A heavy bass line punctuates the song, with Myv delivering a whispery rap during the verses. Of course it wouldn’t be him without his signature guitar work, which we get a little taste of toward the end of the song. The track is in stark contrast to his recent work in the supergroup THE LAST ROCKSTARS, made up of HYDE, Yoshiki, Sugizo, and MIYAVI.
The visualiser, previewed back in April, is a sensual feast- in the most literal sense. We see MIYAVI surrounded by ravenous women, eventually splaying him upon a dinner table seemingly ready to dine upon him.
‘Lost in Love’ is just one part of his (currently physical only) 2 part album, with the second part titled ‘Found in Pain’ being teased for release sometime in the future.
