Retro horror idol troop Phantom Siita have released their major debut single ‘Suki, Kirai’ (‘Love, Hate’) via Universal Music, arriving digitally on May 9th. The track doubles as the opening theme to TV Tokyo’s ongoing late-night drama Dear My Baby ~Until I Control You~.
Written by Koharu of CHARAN-PO-RANTAN, her first composition for the group since 2024’s debut track ‘Otomodachi’, ‘Suki, Kirai’ keeps up Phantom Siita’s unsettling balance of innocence and obsession. The lyrics swing from declarations of love to threats of punishment and death, turning up their horror-pop aesthetic.
The accompanying music video, released the same evening, builds on the track’s dark tone. It stages a warped relationship between idols and their fans, where affection morphs into possession and control. As a result, the group’s theme of “mad love” comes through clearly in visuals that pair cuteness and cruelty.

Debuting in June 2024 and produced by Ado — currently in the middle of her biggest world tour yet — Phantom Siita have moved quickly. Within a year, they’ve released their first album, pulled in millions of streams across numerous platforms, and completed a 14-date world tour.
‘Suki, Kirai’ also serves as Phantom Siita’s first TV theme, soundtracking TV Tokyo’s late-night drama Dear My Baby ~Until I Control You~. The show centres on a talent manager whose fixation on a young actor veers into obsession, a storyline that pairs neatly with the song’s portrayal of love turned dangerous.
A new artist photo, themed “The Mask Comes Off”, shows the members reflected in a cracked mirror, a visual metaphor for stripping back the idol persona to reveal something more fractured beneath.

Additionally, Phantom Siita will headline their first national tour, Flame Medusa, this summer, beginning on July 21st at Kanadevia Hall (Tokyo Dome City Hall) before hitting Osaka, Aichi, and wrapping in Tokyo at Toyosu PIT on August 24th. They’ll follow that with an appearance at URBANGARDE hosted UTSU Fes 2025 on September 15th at CLUB CITTA’ in Kanagawa, alongside acts including Shinsei Kamattechan, Cali≠gari, POLYSICS, and Kenji Ohtsuki.
