EDM producer, singer, and DJ tofubeats has released his new single REFLECTION and announced his 5th album of the same name, due for release on May 18th.
The single keeps with his trademark catchy and chill tunes whilst also incorporating a beat reminiscent of UK drum n bass, with vocals from Kaho Nakamura.
The track takes a chaotic turn toward the end with warped vocals and an erratic drumbeat taking us into a key change for the final portion of the song. Lyrically it evokes a sense of loneliness, which is rather poignant, but somehow still feels hopeful and upbeat. The accompanying music video mirrors this feeling, and words can’t truly explain it, just go see for yourselves.
tofubeats has been a mainstay of the Japanese dance music scene since his first full album release in 2013, and shows no signs of slowing down yet, his new album will be one to look out for.
