Yuki Chiba retires KOHH era songs from live performances

Yuki Chiba, formerly known as the rapper KOHH, recently announced his decision to retire songs from his KOHH era from future performances. This declaration was made during his appearance on the internet radio show ‘Zeebra’s LUNCHTIME BRAKES’ on the hip-hop station WREP, where he also responded to questions from listeners.

Since stepping away from the KOHH persona at the end of 2021, Yuki Chiba has been actively reshaping his career under his real name. In February, he went viral worldwide with the release of ‘Team Tomodachi’. The track marked his return to the rap game and sparked numerous remixes and collaborations with fellow rappers. When asked about performing songs from his KOHH era in future concerts, Chiba firmly stated, “I won’t. KOHH is no more”.

Chiba’s decision underscores his commitment to embracing his current artistic identity. Despite his past successes as KOHH, he is forging a fresh perspective and artistic direction. In his interview with WREP director Zeebra, Chiba expressed uncertainty about the release schedule of his upcoming projects but affirmed his readiness to make a comeback whenever the time is right.
