Wednesday Campanella get sweet and spicy in ‘Carolina’

Wednesday Campanella have revealed the music video for new single ‘Carolina’. The track is taken from their latest EP ‘POP DELIVERY’, released on June 5th.

‘Carolina’ is a fun pop track featuring surprisingly dark lyrics. Vocalist Utaha describes herself as the Grim Reaper as she surpasses the Scoville unit of the infamously hot Carolina Reaper chili pepper. Pitting the sweetness of strawberries against the spiciness of chilis, the song depicts how a girl with sweet dreams can become spicy like the Reaper. Utaha penned the lyrics herself, while the music was handled by Kenmochi Hidefumi, the group’s producer and composer.

The music video was directed by Nasty Men$ah who has previously worked with acts such as HIYADAM, JUBEE, and LEX. It sees Utaha running a saloon, before taking a man hostage and feeding him chilis. We also get some wrestling action with luchadores, with even Utaha herself getting in the ring poised to fight.

Notably, this release comes days after Utaha’s surprise solo debut.
