Creative collective MILLENNIUM PARADE have dropped their latest single, ‘KIZAO’, a high-powered collaboration featuring Puerto Rican superstar Rauw Alejandro and acclaimed producer Tainy. Released on October 18th, the track is a cross-cultural experiment between Tokyo and Puerto Rico, blending the worlds of reggaeton and Japan’s retro city pop.
Co-produced by Rauw and Tainy, both key figures in Latin music, ‘KIZAO’ brings together infectious rhythms and experimental sounds. Rauw Alejandro, brings his unmistakable reggaeton flair, while Tainy—whose production credits include Bad Bunny and Dua Lipa—adds his signature touch to this eclectic mix. Together with Daiki Tsuneta, frontman of MILLENNIUM PARADE and King Gnu, the trio have crafted a track that reflects the growing synergy between Japanese and Latin music scenes.
MILLENNIUM PARADE’s Daiki Tsuneta credits ‘KIZAO’ to the creative spark ignited when he met Rauw Alejandro and Tainy during his time in Miami. “Meeting the incredible artists Tainy and Rauw Alejandro was a major inspiration for creating ‘KIZAO’”, Tsuneta said. “The song feels like a mix of reggaeton, which is deeply rooted in their culture, and Japanese city pop, making it a fantastic blend of our mutual respect for each other’s cultural influences”. Rauw echoed this excitement, calling it “a fusion of our different worlds, bringing together the energy of Japan’s innovative sound and the rhythms of Puerto Rico”.
For Tainy, ‘KIZAO’ represents a dream come true. “Expanding my music career into Japan has always been one of my goals, and I’m thrilled that I got to realize it alongside MILLENNIUM PARADE and Daiki”, he said. “Not only am I excited to be part of this track, but having my close friend Rauw Alejandro on board made it even more special”.

Moreover, the accompanying 3D-animated music video takes viewers through the chaotic, futuristic landscape of KONG TONG TOKYO. MILLENNIUM PARADE’s Shu Sasaki directed the video, which follows two intertwined storylines: AISA, an artificial life unit, forces middle schooler Akeloo to take the wheel, while transporter Tainy and hitman Rauw escort the mysterious CALI and a large stash of Dream Pills through the city. When their paths unexpectedly cross, a minor collision sparks a wild, explosive car chase. With its fast-paced chaos, mind-bending visuals, and cinematic flair, the video feels like a wild blend of Tarantino-style action and vivid Pixar animation.
