DEXCORE drop ‘PARAMNESIA’, the year’s heaviest breakdown contender

DEXCORE have just dropped their latest track ‘PARAMNESIA’, with what might just be a top contender for heaviest breakdown of the year.

Yet to be announced as a single release, ‘PARAMNESIA’ is the band’s 3rd music video release of the year. The track features crushing sounds with even more crushing lyrics, all in English, from frontman kagami; the title itself referring to the very real and sometimes upsetting condition or phenomenon which leaves someone unable to distinguish between real and fantasy memories. The breakdown at the end may end up being this year’s heaviest, with a heart stopping time signature, and deep nightmarish growls from kagami.

The music video reflects the theme, with kagami’s eyes scribbled out while he screams at his reflections. It’s a simple video, but adds to the intense sense of anxiety the song portrays.

DEXCORE are about to wrap up their One Man Live 2024 events with a final show in Tokyo at Spotify O-WEST on November 22nd.

About DEXCORE

DEXCORE were formed in 2016 by ex-DEATHGAZE drummer Naoki. The band’s first official show was Visuttoke!!Festtoke!! 2016 in Nagoya. Between 2017-2019 the band released multiple songs, but also had multiple line-up changes. Then, in 2020, founding member Naoki suddenly left due to “difference in opinion”. However, the remaining members didn’t let this stop them, releasing DEXCORE’s first full album ‘[METEMPSYCHOSIS.]’ on September 30th 2020. The album came in two parts, with multiple editions, featuring over 30 tracks. Following this, they’ve released an EP and multiple singles, music videos, and have held and participated in many events including JILUKA‘s MAD PIT FES, and their own DEX FEST. DEXCORE are kagami (vo.), Yumeto (gt.), and TO-RU (ba.).
