Mannequin pop duo FEMM are bidding farewell to their international fans with their last concert in London coined the ‘Last FEMM-Isation’ on December 16th. The duo, known for their unique blend of futuristic aesthetics and empowering dance-pop tracks, will take the stage at The Lower Third on Denmark Street for afternoon and evening shows.
Celebrating their 10th anniversary and final EP release, ‘CHERRY’, FEMM have chosen London for this emotional farewell. The duo’s ties to London, evident through numerous live performances, latex costumes inspired by the city’s “fetish” fashion, and collaborations with local artists like Danny L Harle and MYLK, add a special resonance to this event.
Released on November 15th, ‘CHERRY’ serves as a poignant conclusion to their decade-long career. Featuring the theme song for the rap-battle series ‘Freestyle Nippon Toitsu’ titled ‘CHERRY on TOP’, along with heartfelt tracks like ‘Living in the Spotlight’ and ‘Butterfly to the Moon’ — the duo’s first solo songs — the EP also includes a MYLK remix of their 2014 track ‘We Flood the Night’.
Originating from Tokyo in 2013, FEMM gained global recognition with their eclectic mix of pop, dance, and feminist power, leaving a notable mark on the music scene with hits like ‘Fxxk Boyz Get Money’ and ‘We Got Each Other’. In April this year, the duo announced their disbandment at the end of 2023.
General admission and VIP tickets for their final London performance are available, with VIP perks including exclusive merchandise such as a Last FEMM-Isation t-shirt, logo charm, tote bag, postcards, a polaroid with FEMM, and a personalised video message.
