BiS (Brand-new idol Society), WACK’s avant-garde flagship idol group, triumphantly completed a monumental 24-hour event titled ‘CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THiRD BiS’. The marathon celebration unfolded from January 4th at 18:00 to January 5th at 18:00.
The group’s tireless performance featured an astonishing set-list of 74 songs, seamlessly blending established hits and previews from their upcoming album ‘NEVER MiND’, slated for release on February 28th.
This physically and mentally challenging tradition for BiS involved three mini-live sets and one handshake event per hour, repeated 24 times – a testament to their enduring commitment and endurance.
This tradition dates back to 2012 when the first generation of BiS performed their first 24-hour marathon concert. In subsequent years, other groups in the WACK line-up took on the challenge, including BiSH, EMPiRE, and ASP.
The setlist, a journey through the different iterations of BiS over the last decade, featured hit tracks like ‘STUPiD’, ‘BiS -Douyara Zombie no Odemashi-‘, and ‘Smokin’ Billy’, alongside the live debut of unreleased songs such as ‘Blue Wind’, as well as their November 2023 release ‘LAZY DANCE’. Special additions included the Oomori Seiko-produced track ‘Katsurei Girl’ (‘Circumcision GIRL’), a cover of ‘MAGIC’ by Hawaiian6, ‘PMA’ by Kemuri, and the Yuki Kashiwagi collaboration track ‘BiS-ANYTiME ANYTHiNG-‘.
